MSPS supports historically underrepresented students at Notre Dame by providing opportunities for students of color to succeed academically and by increasing opportunities for the entire Notre Dame community to become aware, to gain knowledge, and to act in pursuit of racial equity.
​MSPS is represented by an image of the shadows of four faces, each shaded in a different scale of gray. The four faces represent the four broad racial populations of students that MSPS primarily supports: African American, Asian American, Latino/a, and Native American.
MSPS operates under the direction of the Notre Dame Division of Student Affairs.
