Arnel Bulaoro is an assistant director at the University of Notre Dame’s Office of Multicultural Student Programs and Services. His research interest focuses on purposeful academic interactions between faculty and undergraduates and he applies his work in both the Building Bridges Mentoring Program, recipient of 2015 NASPA promising practice award, and the MSPS Scholars Programs.
Arnel has fourteen years of secondary education experience in the areas of curriculum design (Harcourt: Journey through the Old Testament Workbook Companion, and Journey through the Old Testament Workbook Companion), assessment, and classroom management.
As a licensed USSF coach he led three of his teams to a Texas state soccer title. In 2007 he received the National Soccer Coaches Association of America and Adidas Regional Coach of the Year, and the Texas Coach of the Year awards. Twenty-three of his former players joined college programs.
Arnel earned his bachelor of arts degree from the University of Washington’s Henry M. Jackson’s School of International Studies in the area of comparative religion. He received his master of arts degree from the University of Notre Dame in the area of theology.
