Literatures of Annihilation, Exile, and Resistance will offer dynamic and collegial conversation centering  Noor Naga's If An Egyptian Cannot Speak English.  The conversation will be led by Kyla Walker, graduate affiliate of LAER.

About If An Egyptian Cannot Speak English

Winner of the 2022 Center for Fiction First Novel Prize, Noor Naga's sharply-pointed experimental novel is set in Cairo in the aftermath of the Arab Spring and is a philosophically charged investigation of romance, identity politics, and social-justice tourism in the age of empire.
